POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCE INTERN

REPORTS TO: COUNTRY DIRECTOR

LOCATION: COUNTRY

 Job Summary:

The HR Intern will offer the Country team functional and administrative support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain, update, and file employee records in accordance with best practices.
  • Prepare HR documents, such as employee contracts, off-boarding agreements, and other communications, and make changes as appropriate.
  • Helping to create informational circulars on HR-related issues
  • Offer all-around office support services
  • Make personal files for new hires, and properly file all correspondence for quick access.
  • Execute record disposal.
  • Assistance with reporting HR KPIs like employee attrition.
  • Organize employee welfare and wellness initiatives
  • Encourage staff involvement initiatives.
  • Inform management and personnel of pertinent information, such as staff leave balances and public holidays.
  • Assistance with payroll compilation and submission of monthly payroll inputs to finance for processing
  • Help employees with payroll-related issues
  • Aid with the management of benefit programs like health insurance, vacation policies, and employee assistance programs
  • Assistance with managing the hiring process
  • Take part in the hiring process to fill open positions.
  • Plan and carry out new hire orientation to promote a favorable outlook toward the AHN objectives.
  • Adding new employee profiles to the HRIS
  • Responding to basic HR-related enquiries and escalating to management as necessary
  • Team members should be treated with efficiency and warmth.
  • Extra tasks that may be assigned

Direct Reports' Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Desired Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or related field
  • 0–2 years of HR work experience.
  • Strong awareness of labor laws, ability to enhance this information as the firm grows, and knowledge of mandatory Government statutory payments
  • Ideal exposure to payroll procedures
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to multitask in a quick-paced workplace Willingness and aptitude to go into the details and figure out the issues at hand if necessary Performs well under pressure and adheres to deadlines.
  • Highly proficient with computers, including MS Office, email, and other business and communication tools.
  • Enthusiasm for AHN's work
