- About the Economic Policy Research Network
The Economic Policy Research Network (EPRN Rwanda) is a membership-based Research Institution established in 2018 to contribute to the evidence-based economic policymaking by providing high-quality research, building capacity and creating networking opportunities. EPRN Rwanda has a legal personality as an NGO (registered through RGB; Reg. No. 403/RGB/NGO/LP/11/2018) but also has an affiliated business firm called EPRN Consult Co Ltd (registered through RDB; Registration Company Code No.107900371) to conduct commissioned assignments.
EPRN's offices are at the University of Rwanda, Gikondo Campus and our website is: www.eprnrwanda.org. The main activities of EPRN are as follows:
- EPRN provides capacity building sessions in areas of Impact Assessment, Strategic Leadership and Governance, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Planning and Evaluation, Projects Management, Resource Mobilization, and Statistical Software like STATA, Advanced Excel, SPSS, Python, R, etc.
- EPRN organizes high level policy dialogues which involve policy makers, researchers, academia, CSOs and media to brainstorm on relevant topics and come up with recommendations to the concerned actors.
- EPRN also conducts Baseline, Mid-term and Endline surveys; and other type of research work.
- About this internship opportunity
EPRN is currently recruiting “Two Research Interns” to learn and contribute on developing research proposals and gain hands-on skills on conducting applied research. Key responsibilities to the interns will be the following:
- Participate in routine research work of EPRN (data collection, analysis and report writing)
- Contribute on research proposals writing
- Support the organization in organizing research dissemination events (conferences, workshops and policy dialogues)
- Required qualification and experience
The candidate should have the following as a minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field with proven 3 years work experience or Masters’ degree in any relevant field with proven 1-year work experience
- Fluency in English and French is required (written and spoken)
- Having some level of previous experience in research or proposal writing is an added value
- Communication skills are required
