About the Role:

The largest independent child rights group in the world, Save the Children (SC), was founded on the principle that every child has the right to survival, protection, growth, and participation in society. Our goal is to bring about immediate and long-lasting change in the way the world views and treats children.

The position holder will get knowledge of how financial resources are actually managed through on-the-job training.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree equivalent in accounting, finance, or management.
  • 1 year of work experience, ideally in an NGO environment
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Superior linguistic and communication abilities
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills The ability to communicate with a variety of people, including consumers and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • The capacity to work under pressure and under time constraints
  • High standards for quality and detail
  • Knowledge of computers, particularly extensive Excel skills

The Organisation

We work locally in more than 100 countries and employ almost 25,000 people worldwide to assist children who are in need of improved healthcare, education, and child protection or who are affected by crises. Additionally, we advocate and agitate at the highest levels to recognize children's rights and make sure their voices are heard.

  • Before turning five, no child dies from preventable causes.

  • Children's abuse is no longer acceptable.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

This position is on Child Safeguarding- Level 3: Due to their work with national programs, the post holder will frequently (e.g., once per week or more) or extensively (e.g., four days in a row or more) interact with children and/or young people. Or because they are participating in international exchange programs; or because they are in charge of hiring workers after a thorough police check.
