The Department of Human Resources would like to inform the public of opportunity for the position of “Tax Manager”.

 JOB SUMMARY

 The jobholder is responsible for managing and overseeing the tax -related activities of the company. This involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations, implementing effective tax strategies to minimize the organization’s tax liabilities.

KEY COMPENTENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • In-depth understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience in tax compliance and planning for at least 5 years.
  • Knowledge of Brewing industry trends, market dynamics and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax filings and compliance efforts.
  • Organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex tax concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft office (excel, word and powerpoint)
  • Proficiency in Kinyarwanda and English. French is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is an advantage.

 MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and submission of all tax returns, including CIT, Excise, VAT, PAYE and other relevant taxes.
  • Staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage the transfer pricing documentation process.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits.
  • Assist with tax opinions, business support and ad hoc tax advice to the business as may be required.
  • Apply a holistic approach to determine impact to various taxes and ensure that tax position is optimized.
