The Department of Human Resources would like to inform the public and its estimated staff of opportunity for the position of “Brand and Digital Media Specialist”.

JOB SUMMARY

The jobholder is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital and media strategies that enhance SBL’s brand presence and effectively communicate our messages to target audiences.

KEY COMPENTENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Strong understanding of digital trends, social media platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Proven success in securing media coverage and building positive relationships with journalists.
  • Experience working either in Rwanda or other countries in Africa.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to drive innovative campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and public speaking.
  • Proficiency in English and / or French.
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
  • Computer literacy of at least MS office.
  • A Rwandan citizen, either already based in Rwanda or prepared to move back to the country, with full rights to work in the country.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field; MBA is a plus.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of a robust digital strategy to increase brand visibility and engagement across various online platforms.
  • Manage and optimize the company’s digital presence, including website content, social media channels, and other digital assets.
  • Develop and execute brand PR initiatives that align with the overall brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse industry trends to identify opportunities for brand exposure and differentiation.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure and report on the performance of digital and media campaigns.
