Job Title: Principal Technical officer in charge of Hardware maintenance
Grade: T3
Supervisor: Director in charge of IT Support & Service Desk Unit

Purpose
A Principal Technical Officer in charge of Hardware Maintenance will be responsible for diagnostics and reparations of all RRA IT equipment and other Electrical-Electronics equipment used in RRA Key duties and responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of computer hardware, Operating Systems, and Applications.
- Provide face-to-face technical support and assistance, over the phone or using remote access and remote-control computer software, to all RRA staff for set up systems or resolve issues.
- Perform Maintenance, repair and installation tasks for all IT electrical and electronics equipment including Computers, Scanners, Printers, Photocopier Machines, projectors, e-Seals, CCTV Cameras,..
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate reports on accomplished tasks, maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Follow diagrams and written instructions for troubleshooting faults or configuring systems.
- Establishing a positive working relationship with users and collaborating effectively with other IT Teams.
- Deliver the IT Technical Support to final users of all RRA IT equipment.
- Replace defective and malfunctioning equipment, such as disks, memory modules, interface cards, video and audio cards, network cards, UPS units, printers, CCTV Cameras, and monitors.
- Carry out and/or Oversee the Curative and Preventive Maintenance and Operation of Data Center infrastructures including Air Conditioning Systems, UPSs, AVRs and Fire Suppression Systems.
- Electrical and LAN Cabling Installation: Perform or Supervise the Installation of Electrical Wiring and LAN Cabling to support IT equipment connectivity within RRA Offices.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks and adapt to changing requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and proffessionalism.
- Flexibility in adjusting hours, including weekends and occasional overtime may be required.
Required Academic Qualification Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering specialized in Electrical Power Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences specialized in Information Technology
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering specialized in Information Technology
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic and Telecommunication specialized in Information Technology
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Electronics and Telecommunication specialized in Information Technology
- Bachelor's Degree in Science in Engineering specialized in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Science with Honours in Computer Science
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology specialized in Information Technology
- Bachelor's Degree in Science in Information Technology specialized in Information Management
Required Competencies
- Resource management
- Computer hardware diagnostics and replacement
- Able to read electrical and electronics drawings
- Able to operate technical tools Such as drilling machine, grinding machines, Digital Multimeter as well as Soldering PCB components.
- Electrical and LAN Cabling Installation
Required Experiences
- 6 years experience in Experience in IT hardware maintenance
