1. Job Title: Database and Application Administrator (2 Positions)

Job responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies;
• Support institution staff in use of different software and applications and give basic trainings and advice appropriately;
• Follow the technical evolution of new software and/or new application versions used by the institution and inform authorities for decision making;
• Create and manage institution staff emails by configuring outlook or outlook express on their PCs;
• Helps to resolve problems and faults occurring in the operation of hardware and software;
• Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions;
• Develop database utilities and automated reporting;
• Create shell scripts for task automation;
• Monitor systems and platforms for availability;

• Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency;
• Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements of database;
• Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover;
• Restore and recover corrupted databases;
• Liaise with systems development staff or software suppliers on the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfill user requirements;
• Liaise with the Examination expert and information system expert in order to harmonize all software applications used in the institution;
• Liaise with clients/users and jointly develops ideas for page designs;
• Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines;
• Work hand in hand with colleagues who need to setup database system and advise accordingly.

Minimum qualifications

• Advanced diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Management System with 0 Year of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Management system with 0 Year of relevant experience

2. Job Title: Database Administration Specialist

Job responsibilities

• Provide support to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database support (installation and testing of new versions of the database management system (DBMS), diagnose and troubleshoot database errors, tuning of database systems and monitoring of performance and management of database parameters in order to allow concurrent users access and provide fast responses to system users);
• Developing/maintaining Tables, Database links, Synonyms, Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Cursors, Views, and Indexes;
• Modeling tables, databases, solutions to customer problems and needs by contributing to the logical design of systems so that it can be translated into a specific data model and to the physical design of systems to meet system storage requirements;
• Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Policy;
• Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);
• Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards;
• Plan and perform scheduled changes (patching, maintenance, deployment, decommission, configuration, performance tuning) for all hardware and software used to support the database infrastructure;
• Create automation for repeating database tasks;
• Control access permissions and privileges;
• Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans and manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database;
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.

Minimum qualifications

• Advanced diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 3 Years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 3 Years of relevant experience
• Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 1 Years of relevant experience
