BRALIRWA Plc is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and experienced 250 stores Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will be customer-centric and committed to delivering tasks related to 250 operations on time and in full. Additionally, the candidate should embody our organizational behaviors: Connect, Shape, Develop, and Deliver. The position will be based in Kigali, with the incumbent reporting to the 250 Stores Manager.

JOB PURPOSE:

 To ensure that 250 Stores Operations sales activities across different Stores in line with the overall annual plan strategy. Differentiate the 250 Stores product range from competitors’ offers in the market through empowerment of the Store Operation team to execute customer satisfaction initiatives. Liaise between Bralirwa Trade Marketing/Sales teams to ensure achievement of 250 Stores annual Plan targets.

The Operations Manager of 250 Stores provides an oversight role to Sales Operations of the stores , Other Category management , Warehouse Operations (Managing our Logistics partner ) , Order fulfillment and EPSO compliance as well as asset deployment and management to ensure the Store Operation Representatives .

Liaise with the Consumer Marketing Intelligence to improve processes that link corporate brand/Category building activities and product development activities with 250 Stores team activities and forecasting.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Insight on Shopper & Consumer

  • Consistently generate innovative insights on shopper and Stores consumer behavior that drives Stores strategies and plans, in order to create and maintain competitive advantage Use EPOS and other sources of information to create strategic insights that anticipate and react to shopper/Stores consumer behavior and competitor trends.
  • Generate and recommends innovation opportunities for the Stores driven by data
  • Actively monitor competitor strategies and activities, as well as consumer and customer behavior as input for brand and Category development and strategy.
  • Ensure alignment between Bralirwa Sales, Trade Marketing and Marketing organizations on field sales needs and marketing initiatives, including budget Planning and management.
  • Monitor and improve processes that link Bralirwa activities with the activities of the 250 Stores team.

Stores segmentation & Stores strategy

  • Group Stores which have similar shopper / in – store consumer’s needs motivations and behavior to enable an effective targeting of our brand’s/Category’s offering and activation through winning store strategies.
  • Define and refresh Stores standards and share / train 250 Store team.
  • Create and Segment summary of all key stores: key figures, insights, profiles and develop / recommend dedicated Development  programs.
  • Follow up stores /market evolution and propose dedicated actions
  • Based on market information and analyzes, prepare stores segmentation, Stores strategy and Stores activation (that is actionable), in order to maximize sales and brand/Category building in the various stores; successfully ensures the quantified segmentation is reflected in 250 stores strategies and plans
  • Ensure local market brand/category development by region, by store. This includes new product launches, Store activation programs and design implementation of picture of success. 
  • Develop, implement & evaluate category plans to meet profit objectives of 250 Stores Organization

Store activation, promotions follow up & POSM Management

  • Translate 250 stores Annual plan into Actionable activities and winning store operational plans. Develop an activation plan for various Store based on the insights of those Stores in order to stimulate and maximize the sales and brand/Category communication of 250 Stores brands/Category.
  • Develop concepts, activities and promotion for the 250 Stores.
  • Plan, organize, execute and evaluate Store based activities.
  • Consolidates all budgeted activities in a yearly 250 Stores activity calendar (per store & on a weekly basis).
  • Update and share calendar with relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure perfect and timely execution.
  • Ensure the perfect execution of the identified Store strategies ensuring the availability of sufficient and effective POS materials.
  • Responsible for the placement and correct execution of POS materials in the market by clearly instructing the Store Operation team on execution.
  • Support Store Operation team in placement and execution of POS materials and promotions in the market with a trade presenter, operation kits and other supportive materials (i.e. fact sheets).
  • Coordination of third parties in charge of visibility work (painters etc.)
  • Develop the 250 Stores trade promotional plan and communicate key details of such plans (Occasion, Brand, Category, Pack and Price)
  • Manage and evaluate Store promotions to achieve maximum returns
  • Designing and implementing consumer activation in Stores
  • Improving Stores visibility: Stores billboards, painting, tables and chairs, light boxes, etc

Excellence in Execution

  • Ensure the flawless execution of yearly 250 Stores operational plans, delivering agreed objectives on time, on strategy and within budget.
  • Develop and Advice on Store execution, Merchandising of both Bralirwa and Other category suppliers.
  • Evaluate effectiveness and Return of Investment of specific activities.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and commitment to execute key activities
  • Develop, Coach and execute trainings of 250 Store Operation team to implement the activities.
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates the plan and intervenes to keep it on track if required
  • Develop, oversee the execution and oversee the implementation of all programs designed to increase visibility and ultimate off-take of the Store’s product range.
  • Manage and monitor Store investments and Point of Purchase/Point of Consumption infrastructure utilization and coordinate the execution of initiatives by the entire Store Operation team.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of specific trainings to Expansion Coordinators and Store Operation team
  • Oversee the Store Operation team through tracking, measuring performance with SEM (Sales Execution Mobile) and rewarding the team Performance vs KPIs with monthly bonus
  • Responsible for Master data Management by ensuring effective territory management planning.

Follow up of competitors activities.

  • Follow, monitor competition activities in order to adapt/adjust our plans
  • Market and competition follow up in the Stores.
  • Recommend promotions to counter competition activities

Set up and update of Operations toolkit (including factsheets)

  • Oversee the Operations’ toolkit: dedicated, adapted and updated Operation toolkit
  • Create and update Operations’ toolkit (Operation manual, Operation presenter, factsheets, planograms etc.)

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelors in business administration, Management, Economics, Marketing  or any other related field.
  • 3 to 5 years working in a commercial industry,
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a consumer-goods industry (FMCG)
  • Fluency in English, Kinyarwanda, French as added
  • Advanced level of MS Excel.
