The Rwanda Interlink Transport Company (RITCO) would like to recruit staff for the following vacant positions:

POST: INSPECTORS (4)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect all the transport activities in their Zones including accidents and any emergencies and report daily to the chief of security and inspection manager.
• Check passengers' tickets to ensure that they are valid, and paperwork connected with the conveyance of passengers
• Test baggage for any explosive materials, using equipment such as explosive detection machines or chemical swab systems.
• Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel.
• Security inspectors inspect transportation systems to ensure compliance with safety protocols as well as identify potential safety issues.
• They inspect carry-on baggage, and they may search checked baggage if they suspect it contains illegal materials.
• If a prohibited item is detected, they may confiscate it or, depending on the nature of the item, contact the police to question the passenger further. After detecting security threats, they write reports for supervisors and government officials.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma (A2) or equivalent with 3 years experience in a similar field
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field and traveling throughout the inspection zone
• Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize workload under minimal supervision, and refer or escalate issues as required.
• Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, flexibility, and be adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to Write the impeccable reports
• Valid Medical certificate
• Driving license Category, A is an added value

Job experience and knowledge

• Having technical skills with at least 3years' experience working in the inspection or Related field
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with diverse staff with sometimes challenging working conditions
