The Department of Human Resources would like to inform the public and its estimated staff of opportunity for the position of “Business Controller”.Any employee qualified according to the criteria defined below can apply.
JOB SUMMARY
The jobholder is responsible for ensuring company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives through analysis of everyday financial activities, advice, and guidance to upper management on current financial situation and future financial plans and to ensure the company’s effectiveness and efficiency, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Sound knowledge of accounting, tax, and Corporate Governance
- Good communicator who can relay difficult, dense information to management in a precise and easy-to-understand way.
- Good team player with problem solving and judgement skills.
- Proven at least 5 years’ experience in with similar responsibilities.
- Good writing and presentation skills
- Good communication skills and public speaking.
- Computer literacy of at least MS office (Excel) and Power BI.
- Organizational and time management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting domain or related field.
- Proficiency in English and / or French
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good team spirit.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff and recommend further courses of action.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Establishes guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and manage the preparation of the company’s annual budget in consultation with the Finance Director.
- Ensures efficient financial monitoring and reporting (including monitoring expenses and revenues) and ensuring production of appropriate financial reports for internal and external clients) monthly, quarterly, and annually.
