Title             :         Chef de Partie

Reports to    :         Executive Sous Chef

Education level    :   High School Diploma or equivalent required

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Position helps manage the operating budget while assuring guest and colleague satisfaction. Ensure that all SOPs and policies for Kigali Golf Resort & Villas are rigorously followed in all areas of responsibility. to maintain continuous communication with the Western Kitchen Sous Chef in order to keep everything running well.

IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

To consistently deliver high-quality food and services to both internal and external clients by upholding all Kigali Golf Resort & Villas standards and policies as well as corporate standards of excellence, training new employees, and supervising existing ones.

SPECIFIC DUTIES :

  • Execute all responsibilities allocated to you as instructed by your manager or supervisor. The manager oversees the preparation shift operations and ensures that all food and beverage regulations, standards, and procedures are followed.
  • carries out all necessary tasks for kitchen assistants.
  • rewards products, presentations, and flavors of the highest caliber.
  • upholds standards for handling and storage of food during preparation.
  • upholds rules for receiving, storing, and buying food.
  • ensures adherence to all national, state, and municipal laws (including those of the Health Department).
  • supports policies for controlling waste and food and beverage portion sizes.
  • abides by the correct handling and cooking temperatures for all food products.
  • understands how to develop and uphold safety and hygiene standards.
  • operates, maintains, and reports issues with all departmental equipment.
  • effectively looks into, documents, and monitors related accidents.
  • to be in charge of the facilities' and all other outlets' properties' asset management.
  • Plan occasional outside Associates activities to foster cooperation.
  • To ensure that guest service, operational requirements, and financial goals are satisfied, employee levels are reviewed.
  • Enforce the Kigali Resort & Villas culinary standards to guarantee consistently high-quality dining options for our visitors.
  • within 24 hours, responds to visitor questions or complaints in a way that is judged suitable.
  • Ensures the Hotel provides "Simply Fresh Chef-crafted Food" for its guests.
  • Maintain the mission's standards for preparation and presentation as well as its F&B principles.
  • Promote healthy departmental relationships by being open with one another and working together.
  • Follow and put into practice Prime times while the business is open.
  • Fulfill any reasonable request from management that is neither illegal nor life-threatening.

Profile of Competency: Culinary management expertise in the food and beverage industry with proven leadership

  • comprehensive understanding of food handling and sanitary regulations
  • strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, as well as sound decision-making abilities
  • understanding of safety norms and guidelines for mobility.

Language: Effective speaking, listening, and written communication skills

Education : A2 or it's  equivalent 

Culinary Education preferred.

Job License

certification as necessary to adhere to local and state regulations
