Job Description
Title : Head of Facilities
Reports to : General Manager
Education level : Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration/management, hospitality, civil engineering, building management, or a related field.
Kigali Golf Resort & Villas' clubhouse is undergoing improvements to become one of the continent's top facilities. The clubhouse will eventually include a health club, tennis and squash courts, a swimming pool, and seven shops.
The daily management, safety, and maintenance duties that provide a hygienic and secure working environment for the building and golf course staff are overseen by the head of facilities.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Giving team members responsibility for maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Inspecting inside and exterior spaces, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation areas, for safety and cleanliness
- Maintaining buildings routinely and supervising repairs as necessary.
- Making sure the golf facilities offer exceptional customer service.
- Oversee the facility's setup and organization, including the equipment placement, the development of workout spaces, and the maintenance of a clean and secure atmosphere.
- Organize daily activities, such as staffing, scheduling, and opening and closing rituals.
- Scheduling facilities routine inspections and urgent repairs
- Ensuring appropriate security measures are in place for the workplace, working with security system suppliers or a group of security experts
- Responds to concerns from visitors, members, and member visitors and fixes issues right away.
- Track member satisfaction and put plans in place to improve the facility's overall experience.
- Maintaining routine facility activities, such as assigning or finishing maintenance orders
- Providing supervisors and other relevant personnel with reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other incidents
- Regularly has staff meetings with a customer-, operation-, and continuous improvement-focused agenda.
- Coordinating budgeting for facility needs with the technical team and top management
- Carries out annual performance reviews with direct reports in accordance with SOPs.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
- Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration/management, hospitality, civil engineering, building management, or a related field.
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- The capacity to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a changing situation.
- Strong team management and leadership abilities.
- Possessing more than three (3) years of experience in the hotel sector is preferable. Point of sale (PoS) proficiency is also preferred.
- A bonus would be to be able to play golf.
