Job Summary
To advance and expand the company by fostering positive relationships with customers, agents, and brokers in a way that assures the accomplishment of predetermined business goals
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Follow up on quotes to finalize deals and gain feedback Daily client servicing to strengthen the bond between the firm and its clientele
- Follow up on renewals to keep clients Conduct market research to gather information Provide agents with support services and training
- Upscale collections
- Maintains acceptable levels of business retention (i.e., the preservation of current business) at all times, and replaces any existing business lost due to unavoidable circumstances with additional suitable accounts (above and above the new business acquisition target for the year).
- Customer service satisfaction is closely monitored to make sure renewals are not in jeopardy. Renewal arrangements are negotiated well in advance, and clients receive official renewal confirmations prior to the renewal dates.
- Keeps up with regular updates to the business status reports.
- Control of cover notes: ensuring that all emailed cover notes are used correctly and returned for booking within five working days of being sent to clients.
- To guarantee that the business is aware of the amount of cover notes with middlemen.
- Weekly visits to intermediaries are made to ensure that the relationship is solidified and to do a routine audit of the stationery that has been given to the intermediaries by Old Mutual.
Qualifications and experience
- Basic Insurance Qualification Sales and Marketing Qualification University degree in business administration or a comparable discipline
