Teacher of Kinyarwanda & English for Primary section

Job Description:

A new generation of servant leaders will be produced by Wellspring Academy, a worldwide Christian school, with the aim of blessing Rwanda and showcasing its best qualities to the rest of the world. An English and Kinyarwanda instructor is being sought by the school.

This person is anticipated to work well with a variety of students, be knowledgeable about research-based teaching strategies, and actively strive to join our learning community.

Job Nature and Purpose:

The roles and responsibilities of the Kinyarwanda and English instructor at Wellspring Academy include:

  • Establish weekly lesson plans.  
  • Keep your professional standards at a high level in line with the vision and goal of Wellspring Academy.
  • Deliver lessons in English and Kinyarwanda to Primary children in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum.
  • being able to teach moral principles from the Bible 
  • possess the ability to supervise youngsters both within and outside of the classroom. 
  • Attend departmental meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Collaborate with other educators, staff members, and the administration.
  • Show punctuality when reporting to the campus for lessons, meetings, devotions, and morning duty. You should also set aside enough time after school to finish chores and get ready for the next day.
  • Consistently uphold cleanliness and order in the classroom each day.
  • By being informed of and following the pertinent school policies and procedures, you can ensure the children' health, safety, and welfare.
  • Be constant in updating parents on the needs and development of the pupils.

Reporting

  • The Deputy Principal in charge of the Primary Section is the immediate supervisor of the teachers in the Primary Section.

Professional Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education (Kinyarwanda, English, and/or literature) from a recognized university

Expected knowledge and abilities:

  • A minimum of TWO years' experience teaching in a global setting, with CIE recommended.
  • Practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • English and Kinyarwanda proficiency are prerequisites.

  • Driven by a passion of learning and Love for children
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (likes to work with people, is supportive, shares ideas, motivated, and is optimistic)
  • Embrace the virtues of discipleship, prayer, study, and other aspects of the Christian life.
  • To accomplish the obligations and responsibilities, one must be physically, mentally, and healthily fit.

Employment agreement 

After successfully completing the first year, which includes a three-month probationary term, the employment contract is for a full-time employee for an open-ended length of time.
