POSTION OF A COORDINATOR OF KINDERGARTEN LEVEL 

A non-denominational Christian school called Wellspring Academy was founded with the goal of raising up a new generation of servant leaders who would benefit Rwanda and represent the country's best side to the rest of the world. Our school's aim is to prepare students for careers as highly trained, obedient leaders and agents of social change. 

To serve as the Kindergarten coordinator, Wellspring Academy is looking to hire a highly qualified, devoted, energetic, and experienced Christ-centered staff member who will be able to incorporate a Christian worldview into the curriculum.

This person is anticipated to work well with a variety of pupils, be knowledgeable about research-based teaching strategies and early elementary material, and actively desire to join our learning community.

DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS KINDERGARTEN SECTION COORDINATOR 

  • Give the kindergarten/nursery team of teachers professional and instructional leadership.
  • Closely coordinate the Kindergarten/Nursery division with the Primary Vice Principal and the School Principal.
  • oversee the kindergarten section's day-to-day activities.
  • contribute to the Kindergarten section's achievement of the school's mission and vision.
  • Ensure that the Kindergarten/Nursery department has the supplies kids will need.
  • In terms of teaching, learning, and school culture, supervise and support the kindergarten/nursery personnel.
  • Verify compliance and conduct audits of safety and security.
  • Boost the effectiveness of the teaching and support in the Kindergarten segment.
  • Construct weekly lesson plans for kindergarteners.
  • Keep your professional standards at a high level in line with the vision and goal of Wellspring Academy.
  • Be in charge of keeping an eye on kids during playtime and in the classroom.
  • impart planned lessons in a professional manner.
  • Participate in professional trainings and the preparation of faculty meetings.
  • to create and revise curriculums, materials, lesson plans, grading standards, evaluation methods, and teaching and learning practices for the kindergarten sector.
  • To lay out the procedure for creating goals in the Kindergarten section and working toward achieving them.
  • to encourage staff motivation and teamwork in order to maintain productive working relationships.
  • to guarantee efficient induction of new personnel in the Kindergarten division in accordance with school policies and to take part in the interview process for teaching positions as necessary.
  • Use the performance statistics supplied for Kindergarten to analyze, evaluate, and take the necessary action.
  • Work with the Deputy Principal to make sure that the timetable and rooming for the Kindergarten level's teaching responsibilities are effective and efficient.
  • Make the necessary arrangements for classrooms when a teacher or member of the staff is/are absent, ensuring adequate cover for Kindergarten students and working with the Deputy Principal to provide for adequate cover. 

Reporting

Deputy Principal in charge of primary section is the person who should receive report from Kindergarten coordinator.

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an authorized higher education school, particularly in early childhood or education.

Expected knowledge and abilities:

  • A plus would be having at least TWO years of leadership experience in kindergarten or having held comparable positions in any foreign program.
  • Kindergarten teaching experience of at LEAST FOUR years. Any overseas program teaching experience will be a plus.
  • practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • French and/or English language proficiency is essential.

employment agreement 

  • After successfully completing the first year, which includes a three-month probationary term, the employment contract is for a full-time employee for an open-ended length of time.
