Organizational Profile
The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is a new type of university dedicated to educating the next generation of global health leaders. The Master of Science in Global Health Delivery (MGHD) program was introduced in Rwanda in September 2015. Students are empowered to both alleviate suffering at the bedside and promote transformational, systemic changes to the health system through an academic experience that is distinctively founded in equity values.
Partners In Health (PIH) is an internationally recognized non-profit organization whose aim is to give a preferential alternative in health care for the disadvantaged. PIH has created a methodology for delivering high-quality healthcare to some of the world's most marginalized communities after nearly three decades of working alongside public sectors in nations around the world. Nowhere has this had a greater impact than in Rwanda, where Inshuti Mu Buzima, PIH's sister organization, and our government partners have been driving innovation for over a decade.
Members of the UGHE community are tenacious and determined in our pursuit of social justice, common cause with those in need, listening to and learning from others, and operating with honesty and humility while upholding academic integrity and intellectual curiosity. The University of Global Health Equity is looking for people who share these values to join their team.
