Organizational Profile

The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is a new type of university dedicated to educating the next generation of global leaders in health care delivery. The Master of Science in Global Health Delivery (MGHD) program was introduced in Rwanda in September 2015. Students are empowered to both alleviate suffering at the bedside and push transformational, systemic changes to the health system as a result of an academic experience that is distinctively based in equity values. UGHE also offers its health care delivery model through a collection of tailored Executive Education certificate courses designed to equip individuals with crucial competencies critical to improve health care delivery systems.

Partners in Health (PIH), a renowned non-profit organization with the goal of giving the underprivileged access to preferential healthcare, is the organization behind UGHE. PIH has created a plan to provide top-notch healthcare to some of the world's most disenfranchised people over the course of over three decades of functioning alongside public sectors in several nations. Nowhere has this influence been more noticeable than in Rwanda, where PIH's sister organization Inshuti Mu Buzima and our government partners have been at the forefront of innovation for the past ten years.

Members of the UGHE community are persistent and steadfast in our pursuit of social justice, join forces with those in need, listen to others and learn from them, act honestly and modestly, and promote academic integrity and intellectual curiosity. The University of Global Health Equity is looking for team members who share these principles.
