MUGANGA SACCO is a Rwandan savings and credit cooperative with its main office in the Kicukiro District of the city (KK 15 Rd, Kigali Silverback Mall, first floor). Its main goal is to help members save money and get low-interest loans, which will help them retain more of their membership by improving their socioeconomic conditions and promoting access to finance. It is a legally recognized SACCO that has been authorized by the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) and registered with Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA).

Regardless of gender or other forms of prejudice, MUGANGA SACCO seeks to hire qualified and motivated individuals on a permanent basis for the job of Credit Recovery Manager.

1. RECRUITMENT DETAILS:

2. JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Credit Recovery Manager, who answers to the Director of Credit, is in charge of creating plans and mechanisms to maximize credit recovery from MUGANGA SACCO members. He or she must make sure that the Credit Recovery team provides a high-quality, business-focused, efficient, and cost-effective bespoke service that maximizes amounts recovered for members. He or she must also actively cultivate client relationships and marketing/business development opportunities. 

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • To manage individual loans, the firm's debt collection service, acting for members in credit recovery cases, handling bulk volume credit recovery, as well as bespoke complex collection matters for businesses and individuals; to build, grow, and lead the credit recovery staff;
  • Manage a membership portfolio while creating and sustaining new business prospects, seizing chances to market the services associated with credits that MUGANGA SACCO provides;
  • increase and retain the firm's loan recovery customer base;
  • Directly communicate with members, outside parties, and departmental colleagues to improve member outcomes while maximizing collection performance;
  • Offer both internal and external guidance on technical and strategic matters relating to credit collection services and practices;
  • possess a sufficient level of understanding of each member's situation, business, and background, as well as the needs of the client;
  • Make sure that the MUGANGA SACCO policies and procedures are followed while managing write-offs and maintaining bad credit provisions;
  • Reduce litigation for current members by working with colleagues throughout the firm to settle disagreements over contracts before to filing suit and handle contentious cases up until trial;
  • Record every activity and provide a monthly report on members who are charged and those who are not.

6. REQUIREMENTS

  • Having a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, banking, finance, law, or a related sector; 
  • being a Rwandan between the ages of 35 and 45 (ID Required).
