Job Description
- Cooperate closely with district-level technical staff and local government to ensure that project activities are included in and carried out in accordance with the project's development objectives;
- Assistance in organizing beneficiaries of Community Driven Development (CDD) subprojects and locating CDDs;
- Keep track of project activities and, in coordination with the M&E Specialist, create reports for the Coordinators;
- Supervise the project's activities' execution at the District level in cooperation with the M&E Specialist, fostering awareness of the project among all partners and at the District level;
- Manage project execution, track work progress, and guarantee outputs are delivered on schedule in the project's intervention areas;
- Report on the status of the project to the M&E Specialist, and the reports should include evaluations of the implementation activities' progress, including justifications for any delays, if any, and offer suggestions for enhancements;
- Aid in the creation and facilitation of the execution of a thorough monitoring and reporting system with the M&E Specialist;
- Assistance with creating thorough annual work plans and budget templates;
- Oversee, organize, and support the project's contracted service providers' work in the Districts;
- Offer technical reports and other papers as outlined in the M&E plan for the overall project as inputs to the management;
- Attend PSC gatherings and organize project site visits;
- Represent the project in pertinent REMA-invited meetings and conferences in the designated Districts;
- Take an active role in the administration, tracking, and assessment of project operations;
- Supervise the environmental aspects of all project operations carried out as part of the project at the District level in coordination with the Environment Officer and forests officials;
- Participate in the development and review of technical studies performed on the project site through site visits, meetings with communities, NGOs, and the local government, in order to ensure accurate information is provided and to monitor the activities of contracted parties like trained facilitators, implementing agencies, supporting personnel, and other service providers to the beneficiary communities;
- Ensure that the district development strategy (DDS) is adhered to by all financed projects' community-level sub-project activities;
- Create the local annual work plan and budget in accordance with REMA projects and programs;
- Working closely with the project accountant, make sure that money are disbursed on schedule, that it doesn't prevent project activities from being carried out, and that all project resources are utilized properly;
- Gather information (contact information, work schedules, and meeting times) and keep detailed operational records on all partners' activities in the designated districts, including those of NGOs, government agencies, community-based organizations, and civil society. This exercise will be carried out in collaboration with the Joint Action Development Forum JADF "Permanent Secretary" and District Environmental Officers and Forest Officers.
- Additionally, REMA will get recommendations on their requirements for the mainstreaming environment in their ongoing development operations;
- Create weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports on how the project activities are being implemented at the District level, including technical and financial information, obstacles being faced, and suggested solutions;
- Create community-wide subprojects for community-driven development;
- Get ready to reside in the District designated for the project;
- Carry out any additional tasks given by the immediate supervisor that are specifically connected to the project's goals.
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Soil and Water Management, Agroforestry, Environmental Economist, Ecology, Natural Resources Management, Crop Production, Soil Sciences with 0 Year of relevant experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Agroforestry, Rural Development, Geography,, Forestry, Crop Production, Natural Resources Management with 1 Year of relevant experience
