Job Opportunity 

In-flight catering services are offered to scheduled airlines, private jets, and charters by RwandAir Catering Ltd, a rapidly expanding company in Rwanda that began operations in August 2014. In a few years, RwandAir Catering Ltd. hopes to rank among the biggest aviation catering businesses in Africa. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, committed, and competent candidate to apply for the position listed below as part of our plan.

• Reporting Line Manager:    Operations’ Manager

Role Purpose Statement: 

• Ensure that airlines are timely and well provided for by loading and unloading aircraft and operating catering vehicles. 

Key Interfaces:
Internal: 

• Loaders, Flight Coordinators, Dispatch, Head of Department, Operation Manager, Shift Leader, Quality Manager, and Safety and Security Manager 

External: 

• Airlines, airport authorities, and security firms. 

Key Responsibilities. 

• Driving high-loader trucks and company vans;
• Ensuring that vehicles are clean and doing daily inspections of their hygiene;
• Fill catering trucks with the supplies and trolleys demanded by airlines;
• Driving food trucks to the parked planes at the airport while according to airport regulations;
• Before loading, check the trucks' operational status and alert the maintenance crew or dispatch team of any technical issues;
• Fill out the appropriate papers and paperwork pertaining to accidents involving trucks and other corporate vehicles;
• Timely reporting of occurrences, mishaps, and equipment issues that may have an impact on operations;
• Eject carts from the plane and place them near the laundry;
• While on the tarmac, follow the ramp safety protocols;
• Abide by the quality ramp security and safety criteria;
• Perform a proper airplane approach with the loader's assistance;
• Check the contents of the carts against the checklist;
• Other duties delegated by the supervisor.

Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Experience. 

• Be physically fit for the position
• Able to cope with pressure
• Ability to work extra time
• Younger than 40 years of age
• A2/Senior six is the required entry level.
• Experience as an auto mechanic is a prerequisite.
• Three years must be spent driving trucks and high loaders as a minimum.
• Driving license for trucks (Italian codes B, C, and D)
