Due to its excellent reputation for providing genuine, compassionate healthcare and having highly qualified medical professionals, particularly in specialty surgical and medical services, the hospital has continued to expand.
The following roles at King Faisal Hospital Kigali are in need of qualified applicants.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A least diploma in hospitality management, hotel and restaurant management, or a similar discipline is required.
- Two years' worth of experience working at a hospital
- Any further education that is related to the field is advantageous.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Deep understanding of work practices and/or procedures, including how to manage stress and time, stay safe, and carry out scheduled duties. ability to use tools and machinery.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- High levels of patience and the capacity to think and function under pressure
- Excellent deduction and reasoning abilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep track of all meals served during that shift as well as the amount of special diets in a database.
- Keep track of all complaints made by patients and perhaps healthcare staff in a database.
- A list of every report that was created and delivered to the catering services supervisor.
- To assure the safety of food being transported from the kitchen to the wards or units, implement all documentation and tracking procedures.
- Track the food's journey to its destination.
- Manage and keep an eye on food waste in accordance with the hospital's and the catering service's policies and procedures.
- Keep an eye on how clean the food carts are.
- Track complaints received throughout the day, look into them, and create action plans to make sure they're resolved.
- Keep an eye out for bugs and rats and report any incidents to the catering services manager.
- Make sure the number of meals served matches the daily requests.
- Ensure that all newly admitted patients receive their recommended meals.
- Help in conducting monthly ward-level satisfaction surveys
- Understanding all equipment manuals and maintenance schedules
- Keep track of all effectiveness and safety tests, and report any shortcomings.
- Maintain a record of all equipment scheduled for maintenance, and arrange for food delivery during any downtime to avoid disrupting clinical areas.
- In accordance with the guidelines for infection control and prevention, check the refrigerators' temperatures regularly.
- According to the Infection Control and Prevention Guidelines, keep an eye on the hygiene of all equipment.
- Daily monitoring of all food storage
- Keep an eye on the staff's training sessions, paying particular attention to how the equipment should be handled.
- In case of emergencies, communicate with the Hostess/Catering Services Supervisor.
