As we adopt a new strategic path, King Faisal Hospital, Rwanda is going through an exciting time.
Due to its excellent reputation for providing genuine, compassionate healthcare and having highly qualified medical professionals, particularly in specialty surgical and medical services, the hospital has continued to expand.
The following roles at King Faisal Hospital Kigali are in need of qualified applicants.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- He or she must possess at least an Advanced Certificate in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts, or a closely connected field.
- He or she needs to have two years' worth of experience working in a hospital.
- Any further education that is related to the field is advantageous.
ABILITY AND SKILLS
- knowledge of work practices, safety, organization, and planning
- He or she must have a satisfactory track record of ongoing professional growth.
- a working knowledge of machinery and equipment A distinct advantage would be to have training in Quality Management/Assurance and/or Risk Management in Healthcare.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the menus for all patients, especially those who need special diets or the mixing of special fluid diets, satisfy the minimum dietary needs by consulting with the dieticians.
- expenditures made in compliance with the hospital's policies and the approved budget.
- Utilizing kitchen equipment properly will ensure continued performance for the duration of its useful life.
- Keep track of the equipment that is being protected in accordance with the needs of asset management, as identified at the yearly asset count.
- To avoid equipment breakdowns or underperformance, replacement supplies, office supplies, and parts (such as toners, paper, and staples) are quickly requested.
- Resolved on a daily basis, including complaint handling in compliance with hospital standards.
- Make sure that all activity-related data, including key performance indicators, is accurately recorded and available to team members from various disciplines.
- By the fifth day of the next month, operational reports are analyzed and delivered to the Supervisor.
- All cleaning procedures are being watched to ensure a high degree of hygiene.
- Keeping an eye on the staff's health to avoid contaminating the meals.
- All equipment will receive planned maintenance to avoid mechanical breakdown.

- Controlling and maintaining the stock levels in the kitchen.
- Rotational systems with First in First out (FIFO) are maintained.
- Make sure that all staff members are reminded of the Policies and Procedures outlining the specifics for the Catering Services.
- Mandatory signatures on all attendance logs for all lectures/programs attended for in-service training and induction and orientation
- Check the fly screens and UV lights using the database of all inspections held by the maintenance division.
- Make sure that all deep freezers and cold storage areas are equipped with safety features to prevent harm and death from freezing.
- Make sure that all employees are checked to see if they are using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Check the database of temperatures for the refrigerators, freezers, and cold rooms.
- Information on food spoilages and costs associated with food thrown out due to temperature errors
- Keep daily food schedules for costing purposes.
- inspections of burglar and smoke alarms on a regular basis.
