POSITION: Radiographer

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• He/she must possess a diploma A1 in medical imaging sciences
• He or she must possess documentation of their professional growth in a pertinent specialization.
• He or she must have at least three (3) years' worth of experience in the field of radiography and imaging.
• A qualification or comparable experience is a benefit.
• Enrollment in a relevant professional organization

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. A depth of expertise in the field
2. Understanding of radiographic procedures and techniques
3. Outstanding computer skills
4. A capacity for teamwork
5. Kindness, tact, tolerance, and patience
6. Having the ability to reevaluate the issue and adapt tactics to fit emergency conditions 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To adopt within the department modern radiographic/sonographic procedures
• Ensuring that patients receive excellent clinical care and have a positive patient experience while taking into account their traditions, religious convictions, and ideologies.
• To ensure compliance with hospital standards for records and record-keeping and the necessary level of documentation
• To support the unit manager in implementing research- and evidence-based practice, auditing clinical outcomes, and setting clinical standards
• Participate in training sessions when necessary during required training sessions, and where correct records must be kept.
• As the field of radiography develops, help with research and development.
• Participation in the training and evaluation of staff members enrolled in specialized programs or continuing education courses.
