Background
The supreme auditing institution in Rwanda is the Office of the Auditor General (OAG). Articles 165 and 166 of the June 2003 Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda, as amended in 2015, provide the foundation for its authority and independence. The statute no. 79/2013, which established the mission, structure, and current operations of the Office of the Auditor General of State Finances, was passed on September 11, 2013, and it contains specific information about this mandate. The Office has an independent administrative, financial, and legal personality. The OAG is in charge of the following:
- Accounts of all public entities, local administrative entities, public companies, parastatal organizations, and projects are audited and reported on;
- conducting audits of the finances, compliance, performance (economy, efficiency, and effectiveness), and special expenditures in all the institutions mentioned above;
- conducting account audits for the institutions indicated above in the areas of accountability, management, and strategy.

The Office of the Auditor General of State Finances is seeking qualified candidates for the following roles in order to carry out its mission:
Job Title: Assistant Auditors
Job Level: 5.I
Job Position: TEN (10)
a) Job Summary
The Assistant Auditor is in charge of completing the assigned task within the specified time frame and in accordance with the necessary OAG quality standards, the OAG audit handbook, and other pertinent rules.
b) Job responsibilities
The Assistant Auditor's duties will encompass, but not be limited to, the following:
- Ensuring that the work allotted is finished in the allotted time and in accordance with the necessary OAG quality standards (as specified in the OAG audit manual and other relevant rules).
- Seeking clarification on instructions and updating the team leader, director, manager, or assistant auditor general on output and progress in relation to set timeframes
- Ensuring that work is properly documented, filed, and referenced in compliance with the audit manual and other rules.
- Properly wrapping up the work completed, creating and submitting to the Team Leader audit queries that are clear, succinct, and well-supported for any exceptions found, and making sure that any review remarks are taken into account.
c) Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Upper Second Class Degree or above); or having bachelor's degree (Upper Second Class Degree or above) in any other field with at least intermediate level of accounting professional qualification (CPA or ACCA) certificate;
- A minimum of three (3) years of solid professional experience high integrity level;
- Possessing creativity and a focus on outcomes
- Working well in a group;
- Proficient writing and verbal communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal ties, especially with management;
- Capability to provide precise results on schedule in a situation where there are many difficult jobs to complete:
- Not being older than 35 years old:
- Owning a Rwandan passport.
