In collaboration with Inkomoko, Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) has opened an online education assessment center in Kigali. Online education is offered through SNHU, Kepler's degree-granting partner, along with online assessments to show competency.

About the Opportunity
Reviewers are in charge of assessing submitted student projects using a criteria designed especially for each project. Students receive detailed, actionable comments from the reviewer for any project components that need to be improved and resubmitted. The learner is also given words of support to assist keep them on course. Reviewers also occasionally participate in team projects with their peers and go to individual and group sessions.
Responsibilities
- Provide fair and consistent education evaluations with motivating, detailed, and actionable feedback using rubrics and supplementary data.
- Utilize a learning management system to communicate with students and conduct educational evaluations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of each subject covered by the curriculum while meeting the workload requirements.
- In 48 hours after submission, return evaluations to students and respond quickly to student outreach.
- As required, complete the assignments for program improvement.
- Participate in meetings over the phone, video chat, or in person with the manager or other team members.
- Take part in quality control procedures
- Participate in processes for assessment and norming
- Support the affirmation of academic integrity
- Maintaining student privacy
- It is advised for all reviewers to sign up and explore the online reviewer community.
- Work in a team, both in person and online, as a leader and an engaged follower.
- Examine student work ethically, honestly, and with integrity.
- Other tasks as necessary to make the assessment center successful.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree is required
- Experience with online learning at the college level is preferred.
- Understanding or proficiency with competency-based education
- Consistency in scoring when using a rubric
- Proficiency with electronic management systems
- Positive outlook with a "can-do" attitude toward all pupils and colleagues.
- Demonstrated academic or higher education level proficiency in English
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology, particularly in software applications
- Show your capacity to pick up and use a quickly evolving technical platform.
- Swahili, French, Kinyarwanda, or at least one other East African language should be fluent.
What You'll Get
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
The 5 days each week that reviewers work will include 1 weekend day. Co-located with Inkomoko Business Development, the first floor office offers designated parking places, a break area, conference rooms, and lots of natural light.
The best method is to assess every project given to the Reviewer and reply to each student's criticism or query each day.
Compensation
Reviewers will get a pay range of 800,000–1,000,000 RWF (based on experience), health insurance, paid time off (including sick and paternity leave), and a one-year contract that may be renewed based on performance at the conclusion of the contract period.
