As Manager, Telco Engagement ****at D-Bank, you will lead and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing relationships with telecommunications partners and driving the growth of our telecom products and services. Leveraging your expertise in telecommunications and relationship management, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, negotiating agreements, and collaborating with key industry stakeholders to expand our reach and strengthen our market position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Mobile Money Products adoption among

  • Marketing of Mobile Money (e-money) services bank-wide.

  • Offer Mobile Money (e-money) products marketing support to Branches and help solicit new customers through sign-on.

  • Develop a close relationship with Telcos and e-money issuers to grow Bank’s share of the industry’s e-money float.

  • Develop a close relationship with Customer Experience Officers and RMs to assist in creating a good competitive environment for the bank.

  • Ensure customer enquiries and feedbacks on mobile money issues are attended to within specified turnaround times.

  • Product presentations to customers on joint marketing calls with RMs

  • Offer product training for internal Customers, Operational Support Groups and Relationship Managers.

  • Preparing training slides, learning materials and process manuals for all card products being developed.

  • Develop a plan to manage calls to solicit new accounts by establishing a source of referrals, such as branch managers, existing customers, and cold calling.

  • Ensure the bank’s standards and operational guidelines are adhered to by merchants.

  • Offer first line product support to branches always ensuring continuous service availability.

  • Preparing various reports as directed by the Head, Payments Products

Experience & Qualifications

  • 4-7 years in banking operations / Payments & marketing or Telcom

  • Experience in strategic planning and the ability to align telco engagement strategies with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable results and meet targets related to telco engagement and partnerships.

  • Specific experience in telco engagement is crucial. This includes negotiating and managing partnerships with telecommunications companies, understanding their business models, and optimizing relationships for mutual benefit.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial. You will be working with various teams and stakeholders, so the ability to convey technical information clearly is important.
