About REMCO
The Rwandan government owns the engineering and manufacturing firm REMCO, which was founded in 2018. REMCO was founded to produce machinery, apparatus, and spare parts that were mostly imported in the construction, mining, mining machinery, automotive, energy, defense, and healthcare machinery sectors. Through training, repair, and maintenance services, REMCO also offers technical assistance to other nearby and regional businesses.
As seen in Vision 2020 and Vision 2050, REMCO is concentrated on the priority areas of import substitution, employment creation, and export-oriented growth. Products made by REMCO are produced in state-of-the-art foundry and machine shop facilities. REMCO produces a variety of products using an induction furnace melting process combined with a no-bake reclamation molding system. It does this by utilizing cutting-edge equipment such CNC machines, conventional lathe & milling machines, CAD/CAM labs, and an ultramodern ferrous casting unit (steel and cast iron).
To start the aforementioned, REMCO is seeking qualified candidates for the following role;

Job title: Maintenance technician

Report to: Maintenance Team leader
Duties and responsibilities:
- shovels or pours abrasives of a specific grade, such as sand, grit, or shot, into the machine's hopper.
- Masks particular sections of the object to prevent abrasion.
- pieces are loaded onto racks in small spaces, into rotating barrels, or into cabinets.
- controls valves on machinery to control the composition and pressure of the abrasive mixture flowing through the nozzle or into the tumbling barrel.
- Describes machinery that blasts or flows compressed air, gas, or liquid that is loaded with abrasives across the surface of components.
- Puts arms through glove-fitted cabinet apertures and manipulates small pieces under nozzle for predetermined amount of time. Directs nozzle over surface of large parts.
Minimum Requirement:
- Diploma or equivalent in mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, industrial and/or production
- Previous sand blasting experience or training
- Knowledge of power tools
- 3 years or more of similar job experience is required.
