IT Engineer – For Mining Technology & Systems

Employment Type: Paid Internship (Full time offer after successful completion)

Duration: 6 months

Role Purpose

Design, deploy, operate, secure, and maintain IT and communication systems, UHF/VHF radios, communication repeaters and amplifiers, sensors, telemetry systems, and UHF/VHF radio networks.

Core Technical Competencies

1. Networking & Infrastructure

• TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs
• LAN/WAN (surface & underground)
• Fiber optics (single & multi-mode)
• Wireless networks (Wi-Fi, PTP radios)
• Network troubleshooting & monitoring

2. Communication Systems

• UHF/VHF radios
• Repeaters, antennas, amplifiers
• Emergency communication systems

3. Sensors & IoT Systems

• Environmental & equipment sensors
• Telemetry & SCADA basics
• Data acquisition & gateways

4. Servers & Data Management

• Windows & Linux servers
• Cloud basics (AWS/Azure/GCP)
•  Data backup & synchronization
• Large LiDAR & SLAM datasets

Education & Certifications

• A1or above in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering 

Other Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently on mine sites
• Safety-focused mindset
• Clear communication & documentation
• Willingness to travel frequently
