NETWORK OPERATION CENTER TRAINEE (2)

Job Summary

The NOC Trainee role is designed to provide hands-on learning and practical exposure to network operations in a live environment. Under the guidance of experienced NOC engineers, the trainee will support network monitoring, incident handling, basic troubleshooting, and documentation activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist with 24-hour network health monitoring and alarm reporting using network monitoring and surveillance tools
  • Support activities aimed at maintaining network availability, reliability, stability, and performance
  • Assist in diagnosing basic alerts and issues related to VSAT, wireless broadband systems, servers, and other network components
  • Provide first-level support by assisting with customer and partner calls under guidance
  • Support incident tracking, escalation, and follow-up with internal teams and third-party vendors
  • Assist with handling multiple assigned tasks while learning prioritization and time management
  • Support the maintenance of NOC technical documentation, processes, and procedures
  • Prepare and update daily shift handover summaries under supervision

  • Participate in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Take part in knowledge-sharing sessions within the team and across departments
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and service quality
  • Perform any other training-related tasks assigned by the Line Manager

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or final-year student)

Technical Skills (Foundational Level)

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux, Cisco, Huawei, or Juniper environments is an advantage
  • CCNA or equivalent entry-level certification is an added advantage, not mandatory
