Job Description

The management of Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) informs the public that it is recruiting competent, qualified and experienced staff to fill the following positions

Job Summary

Responsible for developing and managing branch business operations in a safe and customer-centric manner and overseeing the effective implementation of the branch business aspects of the organization’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management to the Branch staff in the implementation of operating policies and procedures, annual plans, power contracts, power rates and standing operating procedures in the distribution zone.

  • Monitor and ensure all personnel adhere to and regional activities are executed in accordance with Corporate, Regulatory, and statutory Safety Standards and policies

  • Support development of the branch budgets and maintain region costs within budget

  • Monitor and ensure optimal use, management and security of all company assets assigned to the division

  • Maintain distribution transformers in accordance with prudent utility practice regarding maintenance, inspections and loading profile

  • Develop and deliver distribution network maintenance plan

  • Monitor powerhouse operating parameters and condition to assure optimal energy output

  • Communicate power system emergencies in accordance with approved procedures

  • Support implementation of distribution equipment installations, upgrades, or maintenance

  • Monitor complete, expedited, and secure collection of organization revenues (cash) in accordance with organization policies and procedures

  • Implement the provision and supply of smooth and available vending for pre-paid customers

  • Secure meter readings and deliver bills in a timely fashion in accordance with the billing calendar

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Project Management, with a minimum of three (3) years of Managerial (at least specialist level) relevant professional experience in electricity network operations and maintenance, electricity network planning and development, power system management, or business management within the energy sector or any recognized customer-oriented organization. Applicants must provide valid evidence of having served at a senior professional level, not below Specialist level (or equivalent), with demonstrated supervisory, coordination, or decision-making responsibilities.
