CLO Administrative Assistant

The Embassy of the United States of America in Kigali, Rwanda is recruiting for a CLO Administrative Assistant.
The position is open to All Interested Candidates/All Sources and available to start immediately.
Duties: The Community Liaison Office (CLO) Administrative Assistant supports the CLO Coordinator in delivering effective programming across all eight areas of responsibility: family member employment, crisis management and security, education, communications and outreach, guidance and referral, welcoming/orientation/departures, community liaison, and events planning. The position also helps cultivate and maintain key contacts and manages information that supports the morale and welfare of the embassy community.

Selected candidate(s) will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.

Selected candidate(s) must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Selected candidate(s) must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time [normally, two (2) weeks] upon receipt of agency authorization, clearances, and certifications or the candidacy may end.
Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school (high school) is required.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Two (2) years of administrative/office experience is required.
Language:
-
Good working knowledge speaking/reading/writing in English and Kinyarwanda.
Job Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of the Foreign Service concept and the structure of the U.S. federal government.
- Knowledge of general principles of office administration and management.
- Standard knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Skills And Abilities:
- Ability to draft communications and reports.
- Strong organizational skills (physical and digital organization of office files).
- Strong research skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365.
The position may require occasional weekend and after-hours work.
