Job Title: IT Officer.
Duties/Job Description:

Implement policies and procedures for infrastructure administration
-
Resolve users’ support calls (2nd and 3rd level)
-
Assist the IT Director in preparing the IT budget by recommending purchase of hardware, software and system maintenance needed to operate server and workstations
-
Develop and maintain documentation of system infrastructure and support processes for business continuity for RULIBA
-
Develop and review IT equipment specifications for RULIBA
-
Work with IT hardware vendors and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
-
Follow up on IT equipment purchase and ensure specification compliance
-
Monitor server and computers optimisation and capacity plan
-
Manage the day-to-day operations and enhance availability by monitoring system and infrastructures performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.

Ensure proper maintenance of records of system downtime and equipment inventory.

Apply revisions to host system firmware and software
-
Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. Train technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and acquired.

Perform troubleshooting as required and lead problem-solving efforts

Establish, maintain and manage active directory (AD) users’ accounts. Install, modify and maintain systems and utility software on server and computer systems

Create, maintain, and monitor AD users’ accounts across RULIBA
-
Establish guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems and other components
-
Manage computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment such as air-conditioning system, uninterrupted power system (UPS), printers and fire protection system.

Day-to-day system support and administration of the servers, distribute and supervise server storage space allotments
-
Administer, order and maintain spare parts for systems
-
Maintain and monitor policies and rules for Server rooms
-
Preserve system integrity for all computers. Ensure RULIBA server and personnel are in compliance with all operating system licenses to ensure the legality of usage
-
Manage procedures, programmes and documentation for backup and restoration of servers, AD, host operating systems and host-based applications
-
Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries, and assist in testing, implementing, maintaining server level disaster recovery plans
-
Manage the IT asset inventory for RULIBA and make recommendations for the replacement plan
-
Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale
-
Software development background, knowledge as well as exposure to various programming languages and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) will be an added value
-
Prepare reports on incidents, projects and activities and submit to the IT Director
-
Provide support to team members through knowledge sharing, coaching and participating in team events
-
Handle any other assignment as agreed with the Hierarchy
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT) or related fields.
-
A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
