1. Job Title: Physiotherapist (3 Positions)

Job responsibilities

  1. Measure the patient’s motor function

  2. Record strength and muscle performance

  3. Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans

  4. Observe patients and write progress reports

  5. Evaluate the capability of patients to function independently

  6. Assist patients in carrying out specific exercises

  7. Treat patients with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage

  8. Help patients with equipment and devices, like walkers

  9. Use and care for braces or prostheses (artificial body parts)

  10. Use electrical stimulation and ultrasound

  11. Teach the patients and their family members what to do at home after treatment

  12. Provide necessary and detailed information on the procedure to be followed prior to healthcare

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physioterapy

    3 Years of relevant experience

Required certificates

  • Valid License to practice issued professional council in Rwanda

2. Job Title: Prosthetic Orthotic (2 Positions)

Job responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical condition, mobility, and functional needs.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the rehabilitation team.

  • Design, measure, fabricate, fit, and adjust prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices.

  • Provide gait training and educate patients on the proper use and care of prosthetic and orthotic devices.

  • Perform repairs, modifications, and maintenance of assistive devices.

  • Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to devices as needed.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and treatment reports.

  • Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Ensure patient safety and infection prevention during clinical and workshop procedures.

  • Manage workshop materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.

  • Supervise and mentor students, interns, and junior staff when assigned.

  • Promote rehabilitation services and educate patients, families, and communities about prosthetic and orthotic care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Orthotics

    3 Years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in orthopedic Technology

    3 Years of relevant experience

3. Job Title: Occupational Therapy

Job responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, and functional abilities.

  • Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs.

  • Help patients regain or improve independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, feeding, and mobility.

  • Provide rehabilitation for patients with neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, or other disabling conditions.

  • Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.

  • Educate patients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, assessments, treatment notes, and progress reports.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, speech therapists, psychologists, and social workers.

  • Ensure compliance with professional ethics, infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.

  • Participate in continuous professional development, clinical teaching, research, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • BSC (HONS) OCCUPATION THERAPY

    3 Years of relevant experience

4. Job Title: Medical Officer

Job responsibilities

  1. Initiate and assess the patient’s medical, physical, and psychosocial status

  2. Develop treatment plan

  3. Perform regular ward rounds

  4. Record progress notes

  5. Order tests, examinations, medications, and therapies

  6. Write medical prescriptions and ensure patients receive all prescribed medications

  7. Write admission notes, progress notes and procedure notes.

  8. Provide patient education and counseling health status.

  9. Participate in the development and achievement of specific objectives of the service

  10. Ensure quality care to in-patients

  11. Follow up of ordered investigations

  12. Be involved in the management of ward beds

  13. Fill the patient files

  14. Assigned other activities within his/her competency by the Head of service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in General medicine

    0 Year of relevant experience
