Job responsibilities

Work hand in hand with all concerned staff and stakeholders at the District and City of Kigali to implement the Kigali city masterplan
-
Assess the structural data of construction plans/projects submitted to the City of Kigali by private or public actors against the approved City Masterplan prior to the issuance of construction permits;
-
Co-inspect ongoing construction works to confirm compliance with applicable masterplan guidelines;
-
Monitor the practices of building structural plans and practices of the upgrading of informal settlements across the Districts of the City of Kigali;
-
Work hand in hand with relevant stakeholders to organise and conduct campaigns meant to raise local population awareness on the importance of complying with approved building structural plans during their construction work;
-
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications

2. Job Title:LAIS Processors (2 Positions)
Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities:
-
Check all requirements for transactions before processing it;
-
Operation of LAIS at either district or zonal level;
-
Ensuring that all equipment is working, notifying the ICT Advisor if the system is not working for either repairing it, or ensuring that it is repaired;
-
Suggest any improvement to the system that may improve / help their work;
-
Receiving claimants’ files, checking that person transferring or modifying rights is in fact the owner of that right and there are no encumbrances to the transfer or modification;
-
Making a provisional modification of LAIS (LAIS can only be modified if the registrar approves the transaction);
-
Scanning any supporting documents and uploading into LAIS.
-
If approved, printing leases, certificates and extracts and transmitting them to respective sectors;
-
Sort and pack all the printed leases and send them to the sector;
-
If not approved, advising the client of the reasons for not approving
-
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Statistics, Land Surveying, Surveying and Geomatics Engineering, Land Administration and Management, Geography(A0) with 0 Year of relevant experience

Job responsibilities

Assess the architectural data of construction plans/projects submitted to the City of Kigali by private or public actors against the approved City architectural plan prior to the issuance of construction permits;

Conduct inspection of ongoing construction to confirm compliance with approved architectural plans and evaluate the aesthetics of buildings vis-à-vis the Kigali City Master plan prior to the issuance of occupation permit;
-
Monitor the implementation of architectural plans and practices of upgrading of informal settlements across the Districts of the City of Kigali;
-
Work hand in hand with relevant stakeholders to organise and conduct campaigns meant to raise local population awareness on the Kigali City Masterplan;
-
Ensure compliance of green building concept;

4. Job Title: Roads Development Senior Engineer
Duties and responsibilities:
-
Design and update the urban road development network and work hand in hand with concerned stakeholders
-
Identify road development needs across the City of Kigali and carry out a financial implication analysis in this regard and advise the institution accordingly;
-
Analyse and recommend priority intervention plans for road construction across the City of Kigali;
-
Carry out or review pre-feasibility, feasibility plans for road construction across the City of Kigali.
-
Supervise all works of roads development falling under the responsibility of the City of Kigali and produce periodical reports thereof;
-
Ensure development and implementation of Resettlement Action Plans, Environmental and Social Impacts’ Assessments, Environmental Management Plans for sustainable urban development and management in specific road development projects;
