LOGISTIC OFFICER

WHO WE ARE

Broadband Systems Corporation, PLC (BSC) is a licensed Internet Service Provider (ISP) that is incorporated under the laws and regulations of the Republic of Rwanda.

We are engaged in the business of providing advanced Information Communication Technology services based on broadband connectivity.

In order to effectively accomplish our business objectives, we are looking for a qualified and competent candidate to fill the position of “Logistic Officer”.

JOB PURPOSE:

To oversee and manage BSC’s inventory, logistics, and supply chain processes, ensuring accurate stock management, timely reporting, efficient procurement, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role supports smooth operations across departments by coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to maintain optimal asset and stock levels.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and inventory control standards.
  • Tracking inventory levels through manual counts or inventory management software to ensure accurate records and prevent shortages.
  • Reporting on stock status for the need to order new products, supplies, and raw materials to maintain optimal stock levels and meet business needs.
  • Overseeing the process of receiving new inventory, verifying shipments, and preparing goods for delivering to clients.
  • Analyzing inventory data, sales figures, and trends to forecast future needs and produce detailed reports on operations and stock levels.
  • Implementing strategies and systems to optimize inventory control, storage, and distribution, and reduce operational costs.
  • To liaise effectively with suppliers, internal departments, and warehouse staff.
  • Monitor and control import/export processes including shipping documentation, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and regulatory bodies for smooth cargo movement.
  • Coordinate with different departments, project managers, and external partners to ensure smooth operations,

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management, with at least 2 years in warehouse management for telecommunication industry or commercial organizations. Understanding of telecommunication operations in field deployments is considered a benefit.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs clearance, and compliance standards.
  • Experience in stock management, reporting, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with systems such as ASP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics Supply Chain, or other logistics and inventory management platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
