Report to: COO and GENERAL MANAGER

Duties and responsibilities of Marketing and Sales specialist

Product Promotion & Awareness

Develop and implement promotional campaigns tailored to local and regional markets. Highlight unique features and cultural value of Kitenge fabrics through events, digital platforms, and exhibitions. Promote light goods (e.g., household items, accessories) with targeted marketing messages.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with boutique owners, tailors, wholesalers, and direct buyers. Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Sales Target Achievement

Develop monthly and quarterly sales plans to meet or exceed targets. Analyze sales trends to improve product offerings and stock levels.

Market Research and Analysis

Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies. Identify new markets and customer segments for both product categories.

Pricing and Discount Strategies

Recommend competitive pricing strategies based on market demand and product quality. Plan and manage seasonal or volume-based discounts.

Inventory Coordination

Work closely with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure product availability. Forecast demand to prevent stock outs or overstocking.

Brand Positioning

Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels, especially emphasizing the cultural and fashion appeal of Kitenge. Coordinate branding materials like brochures, banners, and social media content.

Sales Reporting

Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review. Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.
