Job Summary:

The Mechanical Site Engineer will supervise the installation, inspection, and management of mechanical systems for construction projects. This includes HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems. The role ensures quality, compliance, and efficient execution of mechanical works on-site while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Systems Execution:

• Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with project designs.
• Conduct on-site inspections and resolve technical challenges to maintain quality standards.
• Manage procurement and delivery of mechanical materials and equipment to the site.

Coordination and Communication:

• Collaborate with MEP teams, consultants, and subcontractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into the overall project.
• Participate in project meetings to provide technical updates and resolve issues efficiently.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure all mechanical installations meet regulatory standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections throughout project execution.

Testing and Commissioning:

• Oversee the testing, balancing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Document and prepare as-built drawings, test results, and operation manuals for final handover

Project Management:

• Monitor site activities, including resource allocation, work schedules, and subcontractor performance.
• Manage variations and change orders to ensure project alignment with budgets and timelines.

Risk and Safety Management:

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical installations.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site, conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of mechanical works, including progress reports, inspection logs, and certifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical site supervision within the construction industry.
• Proven experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
