Job responsibilities

Assess patients' physical condition, mobility, and functional needs.

Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the rehabilitation team.

Design, measure, fabricate, fit, and adjust prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices.

Provide gait training and educate patients on the proper use and care of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
-
Perform repairs, modifications, and maintenance of assistive devices.
-
Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to devices as needed.
-
Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and treatment reports.
-
Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Ensure patient safety and infection prevention during clinical and workshop procedures.
-
Manage workshop materials, tools, and equipment.
-
Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.
-
Supervise and mentor students, interns, and junior staff when assigned.
-
Promote rehabilitation services and educate patients, families, and communities about prosthetic and orthotic care.
Qualifications
-
Diploma (A1) in Prostheric
3 Years of relevant experience

Advanced Diploma (A1) in Orthotics
3 Years of relevant experience

Advanced Diploma in Othopedic Technology
3 Years of relevant experience
Required certificates

Valid License to practice issued professional council in Rwanda
