Mission/Core purpose of the Job
- To continuously monitor the network and have a 360 degree on the revenue stream in charge, such as prepaid, mobile money, postpaid, interconnect and roaming.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly planned activities and report on exceptions found to revenue leakage, revenue exposure, revenue enhancement opportunities and fraud scenarios within the business.
Key Performance Areas
- Daily inspections of Data completeness and reporting to the operations manager in case of issues
- Daily execution and analysis of Postpaid and roaming controls
- Root cause analysis for exceptions found from controls execution.
- Reporting of issues found s to relevant teams for remediation.
- Daily inspections of missing files from different nodes and reporting to relevant teams for actions.
- Review of relating exceptions issues and report to IN for action
- Ensure the data is provided to Group TCG Project and assist in any queries/ request related to the testing.
- Daily monitoring and analysing customers' usage and transactions to detect any abnormality representing fraudulent activities.
- Designing and automating scripts for any special queries or reports which are required to be completed in terms of Operational Revenue Assurance activities.
- Monthly postpaid revenue reporting and validations and all related controls performance to ensure that the CDRs used for revenue reporting are accurate and complete in expected time slots.
- Oversee new products and perform reconciliation between the technical product catalogues and the product and promotional terms and conditions maintained by marketing to ensure consistency before they get issued to the market.
- Secondary control commissions and incentives validation from other stakeholders (SD, Marketing, EBU, etc) according to business rules in place, to avoid Company’s cost leakages.
- Perform validation of numbers being recycled based on business rules in place.
- Starter packs provisioning validation before issue to the market.
- Ensure that the group monthly reports are captured in Revenue Assurance Management System (RAMS) on time.
- Review high-usage alerts from roaming partners and ensure issues are addressed properly
- Work closely with internal and external auditors and provide necessary data they might need.
- Work closely with all internal stakeholders (IT, marketing, EBU, S&D, etc) to close all audit issues reported by internal and external auditors.
- To understand the revenue assurance processes and procedures, scripts and processes.
- Regular monitoring of SIM box fraud activities and block& and report to relevant stakeholders for further investigations
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in an IT/ systems analyst position.
- Telecommunications experience will be an advantage.
Education Background
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, or a related field
