POSITION OVERVIEW

Ngali Mining Ltd is seeking a passionate and dedicated Sales Assistant Officer to join our Ngali Prestige Jewelry team in Kigali. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while promoting our luxury jewelry products. This role requires someone who appreciates fine craftsmanship, has an eye for detail, and can create memorable shopping experiences for our discerning clientele.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Sales:

• Warmly welcome customers and create an inviting shopping atmosphere
• Understand customer preferences to offer tailored product recommendations
• Provide detailed product information including materials, carat weight, and gemstone characteristics
• Implement effective upselling and cross-selling techniques
• Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent after-sales service

Product Management:

• Handle all jewelry with proper care following established protocols
• Maintain attractive and organized product displays
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items

Sales Operations:

• Process transactions accurately using our POS system
• Maintain daily sales records and prepare performance reports
• Address customer inquiries and resolve basic complaints professionally

Security & Teamwork:

• Comply with store security policies for high-value merchandise
• Collaborate with team members to meet store targets
• Participate in training sessions and jewelry exhibitions

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree, current university student, or diploma holder in Business, Marketing, IT, Sales, or Communication
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in luxury goods or jewelry sector
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic mathematics and computer proficiency (POS systems, Microsoft Office)
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda and either English or French
• Knowledge of jewelry and gemstones is an advantage
• Availability to work flexible hours
