Senior Manager - Reporting

Job Purpose
The Reporting Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate preparation of statutory and management accounts, daily financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, and quarterly financial reporting for auditors and I&M Holdings. The role safeguards compliance with International Accounting Standards, enhances transparency, and supports strategic decision making by senior leadership.
This role ensures the bank’s financial position, performance, and adaptability are accurately reflected in timely reports, enabling informed decisions by management, regulators, auditors, and shareholders. By maintaining compliance and transparency, the Senior Manager – financial Reporting strengthens stakeholder confidence and supports the CFO in driving financial strategy.

Monthly & Quarterly Accounts: Preparation for Management, Board, and I&M Kenya.

Ad hoc Reporting: Deliver reports as assigned by CFO or Head of Finance.

Annual Statutory Accounts: Ensure timely completion and compliance.

Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with internal teams for timely input into statutory accounts.

Financial Measures: Oversight of annual revenue budgets and variance analysis
Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely preparation and delivery of daily financial statements with variance analysis, highlighting key movements in income, expenses, and balance sheet items.

Oversee daily analysis of P&L line items (interest income, interest expense, fees, commissions), ensuring accuracy and actionable insights for management.

Prepare weekly reports on deposits and loans by sector, providing trend analysis to support business strategy.

Deliver accurate monthly accounts with detailed explanatory summaries, highlighting variances against budget and prior periods.

Regularly generate Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) and market reports, ensuring relevance and timeliness for treasury and risk management decisions.

Prepare monthly management presentations and board reports, translating financial data into strategic insights

Ensure monthly and quarterly group reporting to I&M Holdings and finalize annual statutory accounts within regulatory deadlines and AGM requirements.

Support Coordinate with external auditors to provide accurate, timely information and resolve audit queries efficiently.

Deliver special reports requested by the CFO or Head of Finance within agreed timelines, ensuring relevance and accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Professional qualification: ACCA or CPA.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking or finance doing a similar role.

Strong knowledge of IAS/IFRS requirements.

Proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software.

Analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
