The management of Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) informs the public that it is recruiting competent, qualified and experienced staff to fill the following position:

Job Summary

Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions. Repairing and maintaining electrical equipment/network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management to the Branch Technical Team.

  • Ensure the Branch Technical Team obtains full knowledge of corporate goals

  • Develop, execute, M&E clear targets with KPIs for Branch Technical Team.

  • Develop and execute Branch Action plan in line with corporate goals.

  • Execute periodic reviews of staff performance and delivery of KPIs Target

  • Implement Capacity Development routines to ensure appropriate skill level of the Branch Technical Team

  • Ensure motivated work force.

  • Review electrical engineering drawings and refer issues requiring changes.

  • Assign job tasks and work as per electrical project schedules.

  • Stimulate fabrication standards to ensure quality work attained from assigned staff

  • Review all electrical drawings with Leadmen performing on assigned jobs to them.

  • Recruit, guide, train, monitor and terminate assigned employees as required.

  • Schedule, assign, plan and supervise electrical shop personnel performance on different electrical projects.

  • Recommend effective solutions specified weight related to employment status of employees.

  • Plan and prepare work and equipment usage schedules.

  • Develop electrical expenditures priority and equipment and appliance maintenance procedures.

  • Train and inform employees about new work procedures.

  • Develop electrical material and labor forecasts.

  • Support Electrical Engineers in design needs

  • Provide information on modification on work policies, safety regulations, electrical codes, and specifications.

  • Ensure Customer Complaints resolution, network related.

  • Ensure proper protection for ALL Distribution Transformer in Branch.

  • Network Faults diagnosis and troubleshooting.

  • Supervise Distribution Transformer diagnosis, troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Supervise Distribution Transformer installation, replacements

  • Support Branch Revenue collection and Loss Reduction Activities (Tech & NonTech).

  • Maintenance of Public Lighting.

  • Operations, Protection and Maintenance of Cabins.

  • SMART Meter installation.

  • Preparation of Technical Reports (Daily, Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually etc.).

  • Preparation of routine Safety Reports (Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.).

  • Ensure ALL works comply with EUCL Safety Policy and Operating Guidelines

Qualifications

A1 in ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING, RENEWABLE ENERGY, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTROMECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS

Work Experience

  • At least 4 year(s) in ELECTRICITY NETWORK O&M
  • At least 4 year(s) in ELECTRICITY NETWORK PLANNING AND DEVT
  • At least 4 year(s) in POWER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT IN ENERGY SECTOR
A0 in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTROMECHANICAL ENGINEERING, RENEWABLE ENERGY, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS, ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

Work Experience

  • At least 2 year(s) in ELECTRICITY NETWORK O&M
  • At least 2 year(s) in ELECTRICITY NETWORK PLANNING AND DEVT
  • At least 2 year(s) in POWER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT IN ENERGY SECTOR
