The Department of Human Resources would like to inform its estimated staff of opportunities for the following position :
Cellar Shift Supervisor
Any employee qualified according to the criteria defined below should apply.
JOB SUMMARY
The jobholder is responsible for overseeing cellar operations during their shift, ensuring yeast pitching, beer fermentation and maturation, CIP of vessels and pipes in cellar and other processes run smoothly (stock management, casual supervising,) while maintaining quality and efficiency conceived by the company.
KEY COMPENTENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the steps of fermentation, filtration & stabilization
- Knowledge of Physico-Chemical Parameters Filtration
- Good industrial Maintenance skills
- Knowledge of Beer production and CIP process.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and/or French.
- Have a team spirit and a team player.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Have a University Degree in Food Science/Chemistry/Biochemical.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Ensure the wort is pitched to the required quantity of yeast.
- Ensure a follow-up of yeast purging after 24h, 48h, 72h of fermentation.
- Responsible for CILT in Cellar House, filtration, yeast room and water production unit.
- Ensure yeast purges during maturation and before filtration
- Coordinate and monitor all filtration operations: deaerated water, high gravity beer, losses, pre-coat.
- Ensure and maintain the hygiene of the fermentation room, filtration room and yeast room.
- Report all activities and interpret the results
- Report to his/her hierarchy any deviation in the process and any other issues of mechanical and electrical problems.
- Prevent accident and incident by making sure that the team is using well PPE.
