CALL FOR APPLICATION-DATA COLLECTORS FOR THE RWANDA HPV STUDY PROJEC? University of Rwanda Holdings Group Limited (UR - HG Ltd) is a limited company fully owned University of Rwanda, (UR). Its business activities aim to optimize UR assets for the benefits of university. by UR HG Ltd is conducting a big survey entitled "Improving methods for measuring the coverage and equity of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination in Rwanda” intend to address five overarching objectives:

  1. To conduct methods research to help define optimal methodologies for HPV vaccine coverage surveys;
  2. To conduct and estimate household survey-derived, population-level HPV vaccination coverage rates for Rwanda, using standard cluster survey methodology,
  3. To assess equity in immunization by identifying sociodemographic characteristics of vaccinated and unvaccinated girls, and understand the behavioral and social drivers of HPV vaccination uptake among adolescent girls and their caregivers,
  4. To assess the validity of administrative coverage estimates by comparing to survey coverage, and,
  5. To generate evidence on the appropriateness of alternative, innovative data collection approaches for measuring HPV vaccine coverage and indicators, that may be less expensive and/or more rapid than a full vaccine coverage cluster survey.

To achieve this, we will use a mixed-methods evaluation approach triangulating data from several sources to answer each evaluation objective.  The study project will be implemented in all 30 districts of Rwanda in sampled households. In this framework, the UR-HG Ltd would like to recruit motivated and experienced the data collectors who will undergo several intensive training sessions and straight go to the field for data collection nonstop, including weekends (especially for household surveys). The candidate should have the following profile:

  • Rwandan by nationality
  • Physically fit for field data collection anywhere in the country, at the village level, and probably during challenging weather conditions.
  • Strong experience in household surveys (as enumerators or team leaders), with a specific focus on child health.
  • Having experience in conducting immunization coverage surveys is an added value.
  • Familiarity with Android devices for data collection (SurveyCTO), Experience in research with the University of Rwanda and partner organizations (highlight experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research and your role),
  • Degree or certificate in health sciences and related fields.
  • License to practice in medicine, midwifery, nursing, BLS, and related health sciences (very key since data collectors will perform phlebotomy as part of the HPV serosurvey),
  • Full availability during the activity period: April-August 2025, whenever called, including weekends,
  • Free from any other engagement, particularly unemployed to ensure full availability,
  • Female candidates are encouraged to apply since the survey targets adolescent girls and their female caregivers as primary respondents, with gender-sensitive questions
