Mission/Core purpose of the Job

To drive MTN Rwanda’s digital presence by managing and optimizing all digital channels (website, social media, paid media), delivering data-driven, customer-centric campaigns that increase brand engagement, digital acquisition, and revenue contribution, while ensuring real-time responsiveness and brand compliance across platforms.

Key Performance Areas

1. Digital Strategy & Execution

  • Execute MTN Rwanda’s digital marketing strategy across owned, paid, and earned channels
  • Translate campaign objectives into channel-specific digital plans
  • Ensure always-on digital presence aligned to business priorities (products, revenue, brand)

2. Social Media Management & Community Engagement

  • Own and manage all MTN Rwanda social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars aligned to campaigns and brand tone
  • Drive real-time engagement, including responding to customer queries in collaboration with the Customer Experience (CEX) Teams
  • Lead social listening and sentiment analysis, providing actionable insights
  • Manage online reputation and crisis communication escalation
  • Coordinate and execute live digital coverage for events and activations

3. Performance Marketing & Paid Media

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns (Meta, Google, programmatic, etc.)
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize based on KPIs (CTR, CPA, conversion rates)
  • Manage and track digital budgets to ensure maximum ROI
  • Work with agencies to improve media efficiency and effectiveness

4. Website & Digital Platforms Optimization

  • Own MTN Rwanda website performance including Content updates, UX improvements, etc.
  • Collaborate with IT and developers to resolve issues and enhance functionality
  • Drive traffic growth, engagement, and conversion metrics

5. Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report on all digital KPIs including:
    • Traffic
    • Engagement
    • Conversion
    • Campaign ROI
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and social listening tools
  • Provide weekly and campaign reports with actionable insights
  • Continuously optimize campaigns based on data

6. Content & Campaign Integration

  • Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams to ensure digital-first content development
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all platforms
  • Adapt content for platform relevance and performance

7. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage digital agencies and media partners
  • Ensure timely delivery, quality, and performance of outputs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant internal teams.

Experience

  • 3–5 years in digital marketing, preferably in telecom or FMCG
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms on a scale
  • Experience in marketing and campaign optimization

Education Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field
