RECRUITMENT OF VOLUNTEERS (Abakorerabushake) FOR KWIGIRA 3600 FOUNDATION
BACKGROUND
KWIGIRA 3600 FOUNDATION (K3600F) is a common-benefit foundation created based on the book with the theme: 'The Value of 3,600 FRW which aims among others to contribute to Promoting agriculture and animal resources; and Environmental conservation. The KWIGIRA
3600 FOUNDATION was registered under Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) and issued a CERTIFICATE OF LEGAL PERSONALITY, The KWIGIRA 3600 FOUNDATION shall operate on the Territory of Rwanda, but when necessary, it can expand its activities in the whole Africa and other continents.
The Mission of K3600F is Promoting family development through savings, louns, and investments through groups that promote gender equality and care for youth; combating malnutrition; preserving the environment and coping with the effects of climate change; and promoting peace within families.
Under NST-2 and PSTA-S, The Government of Rwanda aims to achieve a 50% increase in productivity for all priority crops. This Goal cannot be achieved under the business as usual.
Efforts must be geared towards ensuring success of the upcoming season 2026A and the other scasons to follow and implementation of the innovative management model for optimization of large sites of production, termed Food Basket Site (FoBaSi).
To effectively contribute to agriculture and animal resources development, KWIGIRA 3600
FOUNDATION has signed a MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) with The Government of Rwanda/Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MENAGRI). This MolJ concerns Priority area one: Modemization of agriculture and animal resourees production for elimate resilient agri-food systems; with Outcome I.I: Modernized crop production and productivity, and Outcome 2.3: Improved food security and nutrition.
To make this possible, The KWIGIRA 3600 FOUNDATION (K3600F) would like to recruit the following volunteers.
Volunteer Positions:
1. District Agriculture and Animal Health Management volunteer (One (I) per District)
Objectives:
- Improve agricultural productivity and animal health.
- Enhance food security and nutrition within beneficiaries.
- Support sustainable agriculture practices.
- Strengthen district-level capacity for agriculture and animal health management.
Here are the terms of reference for District Agriculture and Animal Health Management Team Leaders:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate district-level agriculture and animal health teams, ensuring effective implementation of projects and programs.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to farmers, extension workers, und other stakeholders on agriculture and animal health best practices.
- Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement district-level agriculture and animal health plans, budgets, and strategies.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster partnerships with local government, private sector, and civil society organizations to leverage resources and expertise.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement district agriculture and animal health plans.
- Provide technical support to farmers and extension workers.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and partnerships.
- Ensure effective use of resources and budget management.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor Degree (Ao) in agriculture, animal health.
- Experience: Proven experience in agriculture and animal health management, leadership, and team management.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability: Being free and not being attached to any other organization doing the same work.
