FX SALES MANAGER
Position Title: FX Sales Manager

1.2. Job Purpose
- Seeking a dynamic and highly skilled professional to join our Treasury team as the Country Head of Sales.
- The job holder will provide strategic leadership in driving the growth of the Treasury Sales franchise across the country, overseeing Corporate, SME, Retail, Public Sector, Financial Institutions, E?Sales teams.
- The role also spearheads the digital sales agenda, scaling e?trading platforms, digital wallet solutions, and broader technology?led client engagement to enhance convenience, accessibility, and execution efficiency.
- The incumbent ensures full alignment with the Treasury Strategy, ARRP, and country governance standards, while accelerating revenue growth, market penetration, and client experience across both traditional and digital channels.
1.3.Key Duties and Responsibilities
1.3.1. Strategic Leadership – Sales, E-Sales & Trading
- Lead and execute the integrated Sales, E-Sales strategy across the country.
- Drive revenue growth and market-share expansion across traditional and digital channels
- Provide leadership across Corporate, SME, Retail, Public Sector, FI, digital sales teams and Regional Sales teams while ensuring consistent delivery.
- Ensure full alignment with Treasury Strategy and ARRP priorities while maintaining strong governance.
- Define and implement FX and Fixed Income trading strategies, ensuring competitive pricing, disciplined risk management and profitability.
- Manage positions, liquidity, and client-flow trading, delivering superior execution and strengthening the trading franchise.
1.3.2. Market Development, Sales & Growth
- Lead the digital sales strategy, driving adoption of e-trading platforms for FX across all client segments.
- Integrate digital wallet solutions and end-to-end digital client journeys to enhance convenience and execution quality.
- Grow digital revenue streams, including diaspora remittances, trade-finance flows, and platform-based FX activity.
- Partner with Technology, Payments and Product teams to innovate and enhance digital and trading-related offerings.
- Seamlessly migrate clients from voice/chat to structured, scalable digital channels such as EazzyFX.
- Expand the bank’s FX and Fixed Income sales market share, identifying new trading opportunities and product innovations.
1.3.3. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Strengthen client relationships across all segments by delivering tailored, client-centric solutions that enhance convenience, accessibility, and overall experience.
- Identify and execute cross-border opportunities across Rwanda, Africa, developing strategies to expand the franchise and support country growth.
- Champion cross-selling initiatives by leveraging Treasury, Payments, Trade, and broader client solutions to deepen wallet share.
- Build strong relationships with multinational corporates, institutional investors, regional champions, and public-sector entities to drive strategic engagement and revenue growth.
- Monitor client feedback across all channels and use insights to improve product offerings and ensure consistency across branches, online channels, and mobile platforms.
- Expand the bank’s FX and Fixed Income sales market share by identifying new trading opportunities and driving product innovation that meets evolving client needs.
- Strengthen strategic relationships with regulators, exchanges, counterparties, and institutional clients (banks, insurers, pension funds, asset managers) to enhance market access, credibility, and competitive positioning.
1.3.4. Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
- Uphold strong market conduct, operational risk, and credit risk management practices.
- Partner with Risk & Compliance teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks including Product Notes, policies, limits, and ethical guidelines.
1.3.5. Governance
- Ensure compliance with treasury governance policies.
- Promote an environment where compliance with internal controls and external regulatory framework is honored and central focus area of the business across multiple markets.
- Engage with auditors when required to provide the required support.
- Display exemplary conduct values by living the Bank’s values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility by promoting the highest standard of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct across our footprint.
- Identify, escalate and resolve any risk, conduct and compliance matters working closely with the Treasury Risk & control Manager
1.3.6. Talent Management
- Build a strong talent pipeline transparently, in line with diversity & inclusion KPIs and other KPIs in general with specific performance metrics on the bank values, Code of Conduct.
- Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams across traditional and digital channels.
- Build a high?performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and client?centricity.
- Drive succession planning and talent development across the region.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in talent pipelines.
1.4.Core Accountabilities and Deliverables
- Deliver annual and quarterly revenue and profitability targets across Corporate, SME, Retail, Public Sector, FI, and digital (E?Sales) channels.
- Drive market?share expansion through traditional and digital sales initiatives aligned with the Treasury Strategy and ARRP.
- Increase adoption, activity, and profitability of digital trading platforms and wallet solutions, ensuring consistent execution of Sales and E?Sales frameworks.
- Strengthen client relationships and provide tailored, value?adding solutions to high?value and strategic client segments.
- Lead cross?selling initiatives and ensure seamless delivery of integrated Treasury, Payments, and Trade solutions across all channels.
- Maintain rigorous governance compliance across products, pricing, credit processes, risk frameworks, and execution standards.
- Build and develop high?performing Sales, E?Sales teams, ensuring strong succession pipelines and capability uplift.
- Produce high?quality performance reporting, including sales pipeline tracking, pricing and P&L reviews, market insights, and risk reporting for senior leadership.
- Ensure the successful rollout of new digital products, trading enhancements, and technology?led client solutions, while strengthening stakeholder engagement across the footprint.
- Deliver consistent FX and Fixed Income sales profitability through disciplined strategies, competitive real?time pricing, tight oversight of positions, liquidity, and limits, and strong relationships with regulators, exchanges, investors, and counterparties.

- Deep expertise in FX, Money Markets, Fixed Income, derivatives and capital?markets products, including pricing, execution, and market?making.
- Strong knowledge of Rwanda market, regulatory requirements, market?structure dynamics, and cross?border flows.
- Advanced capability in digital sales platforms, online trading systems, wallet solutions, APIs, and omni?channel integration.
- Strong execution capability in liquidity management and balance?sheet?linked sales propositions.
- Advanced financial analysis, modelling, pricing and performance?management skills, supporting data?driven commercial decisions.
- Demonstrated strategic and commercial acumen, with a proven track record of profitability, market?share growth, and scaling new business lines.
- Exceptional client?engagement and stakeholder?management skills, including influencing, negotiation, pitching, and relationship?building.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and managing high?performing trading and sales teams, with resilience, creativity, and sound decision?making.

1.6.Candidate’s Experience, Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, Treasury, Treasury Sales, or Digital Trading, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Advanced analytical and financial?modelling capability, including strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and related market?analysis tools
- Proven track record in driving sales growth across Corporate, SME, FI, and Retail segments.
- Experience leading digital sales, e?trading, fintech?enabled platforms, or channel execution is desirable.
- Strong experience working with Rwanda, African corporates, financial institutions, and cross?border markets.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and complex client negotiations.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling capability (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or any related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA) preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional certification (CFA, FRM, ACCA, CA) strongly preferred.
- ACI Dealing Certificate — mandatory requirement.
- Certifications in digital innovation, fintech, product management, or data analytics are an added advantage.
