Rwanda Interlink Transport Company (RITCO Ltd) is a public-private entity providing sustainable solutions to public transport for both rural and urban populations. we are looking for an interested, qualified, committed and competent candidate to apply for the positions of Inspectors.
Main Responsibilities
- The inspector reports to the Chief Inspection and Security Manager and shall be responsible for
- Inspecting all the transport activities in their Zones including accidents and any emergencies and report daily to the chief of security and inspection
- Check passengers' tickets to ensure that they are valid, and the paperwork connected with the conveyance of passengers.
- Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel.
- To inspect transportation systems to ensure compliance with safety protocols as well as identify potential safety issues.
- They inspect carry-on baggage, and they may search checked baggage if they suspect it contains illegal materials.
- If a prohibited item is detected, they may confiscate it or, depending on the nature of the item, contact the police to question the passenger further. After detecting security threats, they write reports for supervisors and government officials.
Job Requirements and Qualifications.
- High school diploma(A2),A0 in computer Science, Driving license Category A is an added advantage. 3 years of experience in a similar field.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field and traveling throughout the inspection zone.
- Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize workload under minimal supervision, and refer or escalate issues as required.
- Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, flexibility, and be adaptable to changing priorities Ability to write impeccable reports.
- Ready to work in upcountry locations.
