• Knowledge of public health communicable disease control, planning and policy development, analyzing data, concise reporting, and surveillance of communicable diseases;

• Knowledge of basic data analysis including bivariate and multivariate analysis (D);

• Proven experience in designing and establishment of appropriate disease surveillance system with aptitude to work with electronic data management systems;

• Knowledge of databases and use of epidemiological and statistical packages [such as Epi Info, Stata, SAS or SPSS] and GIS software such as Map Info, Instant Atlas etc.;

• Knowledge of communicable disease epidemiology and surveillance;

• Knowledge to develop measurable objectives, operational plans and measurable indicators/targets for public health programs and project;
