Mission/Core purpose of the Job

The role is responsible for owning the design authority for revenue assurance and fraud management (RAFM) controls across the business, defining and governing control and measurement points across network, billing, IT, and financial systems, and leading the team that monitors and safeguards MTN R's revenue integrity

Key Performance Areas

  • Act as the design authority for the end-to-end RAFM control framework, defining standards, methodologies, and architecture for control and measurement points across all revenue-generating systems. 
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of controls that detect and prevent revenue leakage, fraud, and billing errors. 
  • Review and approve the revenue assurance impact of new products, tariffs, network elements, and IT/billing system changes prior to launch. 
  • Define and maintain the end-to-end revenue reconciliation architecture (network usage, mediation, billing, charging, and financial reporting). 
  • Develop and monitor key control indicators (KCIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to measure the effectiveness of revenue assurance and fraud controls. 
  • Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the Control & Measurement and Revenue Assurance analyst team. 
  • Own the revenue leakage and fraud risk register, ensuring risks are identified, quantified, prioritised, and remediated. 
  • Collaborate with IT, Network Engineering, Product, Finance, and Internal Audit to embed revenue assurance controls at the design stage of new initiatives. 
  • Present revenue assurance and fraud performance, leakage exposure, and control effectiveness to senior management and relevant governance committees. 
  • Ensure the RAFM control framework remains aligned with regulatory requirements, audit findings, and industry best practice (e.g., TM Forum, GRAPA). 
  • Manage relationships with RAFM tool/system vendors and oversee enhancement or replacement of revenue assurance and fraud detection platforms 
  • Closely works with Risk and Compliance for Rubix control assessments and gaps closure 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years' experience in Revenue Assurance and/or Fraud Management within a telecommunications or similar high-volume transactional environment, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or design-authority capacity. 

Education Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Systems analysis and programming.
